Benefits of Price Protection for 2008-2009 Season

The price per gallon of fuel is guaranteed never to exceed the
protected plan price.

As an option, plan holders may choose to purchase downward
protection, a non-refundable fee, based on .20 cents per gallon .
Like an “insurance policy,” the downward protection secures
that plan holders will pay the lower “Retail Price” if fuel
prices were to drop below their “Price Protection Plan
Price”. Volatile markets can cause huge price swings and like
any insurance policy, as the risk increases, so does the cost to the
heating company to provide such protection. Kosco is providing this
service as an option so everyone can make the best choice for his or
her individual situation.

All plan holders can elect to make 10 equal monthly budget payments
so they can control their expenses and avoid large fuel bills during
the holiday season. Turning an unpredictable cost like home heating
fuel into a controlled payment is highly advisable.
